Hey there, I'm Chelsie, the heart, soul, and hands behind Love & Care Bodyworks. With nearly a decade of experience in the beauty and wellness industry, my story began with my own skin healing journey in esthetics, which sparked an interest and a love for massage therapy. My first job after esthetics school was as a wax specialist at EWC, where I gained invaluable experience for four years, learning the techniques of full body waxing. With a love for the body, how it works, and a desire for helping others, I decided to pursue a nursing degree and graduated with my RN in 2020. However, it didn't take long for me to realize that my true passion lies in alternative healthcare and natural healing practices. Feeling a little lost, I relocated to Florida, where I focused on myself and interests. I continued body waxing and ventured into brow and lash services, embracing the opportunity to enhance my clients' natural beauty. In the summer of 2022, at a crossroads, I made the decision to move back to Maine and took another chance on nursing, where I have spent the past two years in acute psychiatric inpatient care. Despite my commitment to nursing, I always knew my passions lay in alternative methods of healing. It was during this time that the idea to start my own business began to take shape. However, in February 2023, the unexpected loss of my mother occurred, which profoundly affected me. It was a stark reminder of the fragility of life and underscored the importance of pursuing one's own path to happiness and fulfillment. I dedicated a year to my own healing journey, prioritizing self-care and personal growth. Through this process, I realized that our healing journeys are ongoing and that true fulfillment comes from aligning with our passions. It was with this newfound clarity that I decided to pursue my dream of opening my own space. Here, I hope to create a safe and nurturing environment for others to embark on their own healing journey, finding peace and well-being through self-care. Cancellation Policy
I understand that life happens, and sometimes, you need to cancel your appointment. Please notify me at least 12 hours beforehand if you need to cancel or reschedule. This way, I can offer your spot to someone else who might need it. For no-shows and cancellations with less than 12 hours' notice of the scheduled appointment, a 50% booking fee will be charged.
